Heartland Hearts

2014 heartland hall of fame inductees

heartland hearts

This year we are proud to make our 7th induction into the Heartland Hall of Fame. The 2014 Inductees into the Heartland Hall of Fame is the Original Heartland Hearts team featuring all the players who played on that team throughout the teams existence.

In 1988 the Heartland “Heart’s” and lil’ “Heart’s” were the two charter members of what was to become America’s Heartland Girl’s Fastpitch Softball Organization. As you can see by the crowd assembled today, they were a team who had a special bond. They set a standard of excellence for the many Heartland teams to follow. Many of them have gone on to continue to give back to the game by coaching, mentoring and supporting the game and its players, or daughters. We have in attendance today one man who was a parent on this team who has deeply impacted Quad City Softball. Ladies and Gentlemen can we have a round of applause for a Quad City Softball Gem – Mr. Martin Rhome.

Today’s honorees had an impressive run…. just listen to this…
